OUR HISTORY
Three decades of building with purpose.
AFA Design and Construction was established in 1994, founded by Ali Afshar and Ramesh Olyayani to provide a superior and personalised construction package solution to clients across both the public and private sector.
Since then, AFA has been engaging in all types of commercial, residential, civil and public works from concept to completion.
With over 30 years’ construction experience, ISO certification, and registration as a Class 2 building practitioner, AFA has developed a vast project portfolio ranging from sports courts, internal fit-outs and refurbishments to multi-residential unit blocks, townhouses, and clinical spaces.
Today, we are a growing business with aspirations to expand further into the public sector, creating a long-lasting legacy and a positive footprint within the community.

With a Bachelor's and Master's in Construction Management from UTS, Ryan's technical expertise and unwavering commitment to precision ensures every project is delivered to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Aryan Afshar
Project Manager - With a Bachelor's and Master's in Architecture from UNSW, brings a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of design, project finance and development to his role at AFA. His architectural expertise, coupled with a strong commercial acumen, ensures every project achieves an optimal balance of form, function and financial performance.
